Volumetric Survey

Topographic and Hydrographic survey data – or a combination of both – can be used to calculate volumes for earthworks and dredging projects. We carry our pre, interim and post dredge surveys and produce progress reports and drawings. Interim dredge survey drawings can show colour banded ‘over’ or ‘under’ dig or difference between existing and design models.

We undertake volumetric surveys for accounting and audit purposes, measuring the volume of stockpiles in quarries and sand & gravel pits. We are contracted to undertake annual stock surveys of de-icing salt for Roads Service at their 30 storage depots at various locations throughout N Ireland.

We regularly carry out volumetric surveys at coal fired power stations, measuring both coal stocks and ash stocks. Ash disposal site surveys include reporting of remaining fill capacity to consented restoration levels.
