Whitemountain Quarries – Ballystockart Quarry Extension & Underpass

Whitemountain Quarries has completed development of a £1m  underpass at Ballystockart Quarry near Comber, Co. Down, N Ireland.

Six-West successfully obtained planning approval for the project which was required to access new minerals reserves and extend the existing quarry north of the Ballystockart Road.

We prepared a full environmental statement and planning application for the quarry extension. Given the nature and scale of the development, it was important that all potential impacts were carefully considered in order to avoid anticipated delays which could have been caused by pubic opposition and planning resistance  to the project.

Careful project management by Six West resulted in a speedy, uncontroversial approval.
